Moray 2012 10K

To commemorate the Olympic Games being held in London 2012, Moray will hold four early evening races just ahead of the actual Olympic events in London. The first will take place in Buckie on Sat 4th August at 5pm. The 10K will start and finish in central Buckie. The ‘clockwise’ circular route will go through Buckpool, Ianstown, Portessie and Rathven before coming back to Buckie town centre. At the end of the event, refreshments will be served, Gold/Silver/Bronze medals will be presented and everyone will watch Mo Farah’s bid for Olympic Gold in the Men’s 10K on a big screen.

Moray 2012 3K

Runners at the starting line.To commemorate the Olympic Games being held in London 2012, Moray will hold four early evening races just ahead of the actual Olympic events in London.  The second race of the four will take place in Elgin Cooper Park on Wednesday 8th August at 6:30pm. The 3K will start and finish at Elgin Library. The route is approx. 2 full circuits of the park on tarred surfaces. At the end of the event, refreshments will be served, Gold/Silver/Bronze medals will be presented and everyone will watch the Olympic 1500m on a big screen.

Moray 2012 Relay Races

To commemorate the Olympic Games being held in London 2012, Moray will hold four early evening races just ahead of the actual Olympic events in London. The third of the four race events will take place in central Forres on Friday 10 August at 5pm. Team relay and individual races will take place in the town centre, and be focused upon the Town Hall venue. At the end of the event, refreshments will be served, Gold/Silver/Bronze medals will be presented, and everyone will watch the London Olympic 4x400m and 4x100m relays on a big screen.

Moray 2012 5K

To commemorate the Olympic Games being held in London 2012, Moray will hold four early evening races just ahead of the actual Olympic events in London. The fourth and final race will take place in Dufftown on Saturday 11th August at 5pm. The 5K will be set in glorious surroundings of the Dufftown village and hills. At the end of the event, refreshments will be served, Gold/Silver/Bronze medals will be presented and everyone will watch the Olympic 5K on a big screen.
